I Believe...

I have seen this before, and I truly love it. It hits home in a lot of ways! Enjoy!

I Believe... That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I Believe.... That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe... That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I Believe... That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe.... That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I Believe... That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe.... That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe.... That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe... That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe.... That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I Believe... That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe..... That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe.... That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe... That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I Believe... That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe... That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.

I Believe... That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

Weekend Fun

We had a LOT of fun stuff to do this weekend! We started out Saturday morning as we always do, Reagin's dance class at 9:00. After that the City of Rowlett had a big Easter egg hunt with face painting and bounce houses so Heath took Reagin for a little while. She had a blast huntin for eggs!

So after that Rachel brought over Jackie G for some play time. The girls had a blast playing inside and outside.

Jacquelyn had a blast feeding this real live baby doll! So sweet!

Then Heath and I went over to Ryan and Kylie's house to watch the UFC fights while G-ma came over to the house to watch the girls. So sweet of her! Thanks G-ma!!

Sunday morning we got up and took the girls to get their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. Camryn was obsessed with his scarf and would not quit playing with it! It was so funny! We got some good shots!

Then we took some pictures by the fountain after visiting the Easter Bunny.

Sunday evening we went to Landon's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and Reagin had a blast! Camryn was pretty fascinated by all the people and lights & especially Chuck E! She thought he was pretty cool but Reagin was scared of him... again... lol

All in all it was a great weekend, especially for the kiddos. It was perfect weather and we tried to take full advantage of it!

This & That Thursday

So things have been pretty darn crazy with the Dunn family this month! March has not liked us very much so far!

It started out with Heath's car being stolen. Still not found, I'm sure it's a different color with different plates and long gone to Mexico by now. We were still trying to figure out what to do about that when my car broke down last week and it had to be taken to the shop. THANKFULLY we got the good news yesterday that it was a faulty transmission module and was covered under the 100,000 mile warranty!!!! The guy told Heath it was in the "thousands" to repair it! I nearly died when I heard this but was SO relieved it was covered under that warranty. We realllllly needed a break in the car department!!! So, now we're still down to one car, but at least it is a working car!! lol

On another note... Camryn said her first official word! MAMA!! I was picking her up out of her bouncer to go put her in her bed and I said something along the lines of "Mama's got you" as I picked her up and then... the sweetest little voice said "Mama" I wasn't quite sure I heard her right so I said "Yeah, I'm Mama" and she said "Mama" I was thrilled!!! I took her on to bed and on the way we passed Heath so I told him what happened and after I said "Mama" again she said "Mama" :) It was awesome! Since them she keeps saying "Mama" and "Dadadadada" Everytime I try to get her to say Mama, Reagin says "Say Reagin" and of course Cam just smiles at her. Makes me wonder what she will end up calling her until she can say Reagin... hmmmmm...

Speaking of Reagy, she has her first dance reciatal in May and we are so looking forward to seeing her shine on that stage! She was born to dance and perform! She and 2 other girls in her dance class are the only ones that usually get 2 stickers because they dance and sing and smile the whole time. Not sure what the others are doing, but they are 3 so who knows?! Her costume is the cutest little pink sequined cowgirl outfit with a matching cowgirl hat and the dance is to "Hey Goodlookin'... whatcha got cookin'" It is going to be so stinkin cute!! Can't belive she is old enough to have a recital! Where has the time gone?

In other news, I am 4 lbs away from my goal weight! Woooohooooo! It was been a healthy weight loss and for the most part gradual so I'm really hoping it will stay off. I plan on continuing to eat healthier and make better choices when it comes to food to help keep it off!

Thank Goodness tomorrow is Friday!!!

Early Birthday Present!

Rachel got me this AWESOME Ipod for my birthday!! THANKS A LOTTTTTT MINI! :) Although my birthday isn't until April 3, she got it in the mail yesterday and decided to give it to me early! YAY! Plus, when she was ordering it online one of our managers came in and jokingly told her to get off the Apple website... and prior to that she had asked me "red or pink?" and then told me not to pay any attention to what she was doing since we share an office at work... so he pretty much gave it away... and that was probably best because I don't think she could've waited over 2 weeks to give it to me anyway! LOL It's sooooo cool! Not only does it play music outloud without head phones, it also records like a camcorder! :) She also loaded all my tunes on there so it's playing as we speak! Best bestie evvvvvvv! Oh, and I know it looks sorta red in the picture, but it's HOTTT PINK!

Happy Monday!

Chunky Chunkerton!!!

Just chillin while swinging for the first time!

Love that tongue thing she's doing these days!

So Saturday we got up and Reagin was off to dance, Camryn & I stayed home and played and Boston spent some time outside in the sun chewing on his bone. It was so pretty out there!! So after dance Reagin wanted to go to Chilis, and it sounded so good, so we went for lunch. We wanted Pinky (Heather) to go with us so we could buy her lunch, in appreciation for everything she did to help us out last week since we only had one car. (grrrrrr!) Heather came over every morning to take Reagin to school and picked her up after school & brought her home. Such a lifesaver!!! So after lunch it was nap time. Got the girls down for naps, and even got a lil one myself! YAY! Then Rachel came over for a lil while and we hung out and caught up on all of our gossip. Sadly enough, 75% of that was about Y&R. We can't help it!! It's been SOOOOO GOOD recently!! lol Sunday afternoon I took Camryn to Allison's to get her pictures taken. OMG! She was in SUCH a good mood and was talking up a storm with Allison. I can't wait (as usual) to see her pics, I know they will be amazing!! After that our friend, Amy, came by and dropped off some swimsuits she got the girls. Reagin's is absloutely adorable! It is a lady bug bikini and the top of the bikini are 2 lady bugs to cover up her itty bitties. lol Heath was freaking out and Amy thought it was hilarious! It was pretty funny! Camryn's is a pink leopard kitty cat, monokini and it is precious!!! Can't wait for them to wear them! So after that we were off to the park to meet Stephanie, Carson & Parks. Steph was so sweet and got all the kiddos Happy Meals to eat before they played. Camryn got to swing for the first time (other than her baby swing at home) and she was so adorable in it! Her thighs are so freakin chunky!!! heehee Reagin wasn't feeling very good, tummy issues, so she wanted to go home and lay down. For Reagin to say that, you know she wasn't feeling good!! She went straight to bed, her request, as soon as we got home. She was sick throughout the night and now Heath isn't feeling good either! :( Hopefully this doesn't last long! Sooo it was a beautiful weekend and I think overall it was pretty darn good... til Reagy got sick...
I'm really, really hoping and praying for a better week this week! Last week needs to be a distant memory! It was a beating for sure!!
Happy Monday!!!

Just stuff...

So... 3 days later we have pretty much decided someone stole Heath's car. He has called all over the place & still nothing. We really NEED 2 cars in our family so now we have a new worry, like we needed an extra one! lol So, we're just gonna have to take this one day at a time and see what happens. We're afraid one of the pounds either have his car & didn't look when he inquired about it, or they don't have it in their system yet & just told him, 2 days in a row now, that is wasn't there. If that's the case, we'll probably get something in the mail 2 weeks from now stating they have the car and since it has been on their lot for 2 weeks, they will need our first born to get it back. If that's the case, I'm sure they would return Reagin shortly after obtaining her! She's too bossy for most people. HA! What can I say, she IS her mother's daughter! So, we're still hoping it turns up somehwere, hopefully not in a pound, just found. Wishful thinking, I know.

In other news, I'm super duper excited about Camryn's pictures Allison is taking of her this Sunday! I really wanted them to be her "6 month" pics but life has been busy, and this is the best we could do. So, 8 months it is! Hey, I'm only 2 months behind, not too bad! :) It will be WELL worth the wait though, Allison is FABULOUS!!!!

Hoping this weekend is relaxing, I need it in the WORST way! Stress has taken over my body... my back, neck, shoulders & head hurt so bad. I need a massage!

I have managed to not gain any weight in the past few weeks! In fact, I think I may have lost a little more. My new pants that I got about 3 weeks ago are starting to get a little loose. Believe it or not, because even I have a hard time believing this, I think I am about the size I was when Heath and I got married about 5 1/2 years ago. So 5 1/2 years and 2 babies later I'm finally back to where I was. That, my friends, is AMAZING! :)

Dude! Where's his car?

So yesterday morning Heath called me and said that his car broke down on the shoulder of 635 and Mike was going to pick him & Max up and take them to work. (Thanks Mike!) So Max called his friend, Sam, that has worked on Heath's car before and he was going to go out and work on his car and hopefully fix it and drive it to Heath's work. So of course we start worrying about how much it will be & Heath being late for work, etc. So Heath gets to work and all is well... or so we thought. So Sam calls Heath around noon and says "Where's your car?" Heath is like "Whaaaaat?" His car was gone!!! So Heath starts calling the Mesquite and Garland police and they don't have it. They also told him that he legally has up to 72 hours to get it moved before they will tow it. Okayyyy, so what does that mean? The only thing we can think of is someone stole it. But not just anyone, someone with a tow truck since it wasn't running. So Heath called around to all the pounds and no one has it. He called the Sheriff's office and they told him to try the Constable's office, that they have been illegally towing people's car in some kind of money scam... I hear it has been on the news, but I don't watch the news. It's too depressing. So what we thought was going to be a simple fix, change the belt and move on turns out to be a much bigger mess! I have never had someone steal a car from me so we are just so shocked! Heath filed a stolen car report with the police and we're still searching! What really pisses me off is the girls' car seats were in there! JERKS!!! Well, hopefully is surfaces soon, we really need 2 cars in our family. Keep your fingers crossed we find it soon!!!

What a weekend!

We met my parents in Canton Thursday night (half way from Dallas to Longview) to drop off the girls with their Nana & Papa for the rest of the weekend. We like to do this every 4 weeks or so. It's nice for us, it's always a much needed break. It gives us a good opportunity to get stuff done around the house too. My parents love having them all to themselves. They always go to my grandparent's church on Sunday mornings and then to Mamaw & Papaw's house after for lunch and visiting. So Friday night Heath & I and some friends went to Nico's for drinks and dinner on the patio. It was so much fun!! So Saturday morning I went and got a much needed pedicure and my nails done! Sooooo nice!! Then back to the house to do some stuff around there before we went to Heath's grandparent's house for Uncle Joe's birthday dinner and then out for the night. Around 4:00 I got a call from my mom saying that John had fallen off a 6' ladder while doing some work. She didn't know the extent of his injuries and was on her way, with both girls, to the hospital since he was taken by ambulance. So we were on stand-by until she could get to the hospital and see what his condition was and call us back. We were prepared to go get the girls and help out any way we could. So about 5:30 we got another call from my mom saying he had either broken or dislocated his shoulder and they were taking him in for a ct scan and we needed to go ahead and head their way. My mom had a lot on her plate between worrying about John and juggling a 3 ½ yr old and an almost 8 month old at the hospital. So we got all of our stuff together and headed out. Luckily Heather was able to come stay with our 4 legged baby, Boston, while we were gone. So we got to the hospital a little after 9:00 and everyone was worn out!!! Camryn could barely keep her eyes open but was so happy to see her Mommy & Daddy! So come to find out John didn’t break anything, he had dislocated his shoulder and they popped it back into place. Needless to say he was in a lot of pain! L So we got the girls and all their stuff together and headed to my parent’s house to put the girls to bed. On the way we picked up John’s truck and got it back to their house so they didn’t have to worry about that later. My parents didn’t make it to the house until around 1:30 AM and were exhausted! So the next morning we got up, ate breakfast and headed back to Dallas so my parents could get some rest without a house full of people there. We got home, unpacked and ate a late lunch while the girls napped. So glad John is okay and so relieved he didn’t have a head injury. I am also thankful I got to hug and kiss my parents and grandparents, I don’t get to as much as I would like to. So, that was our weekend… and now we’re all back to work and school. Happy Monday!

The beginning...

Heath & I met the summer before 8th grade at the softball fields behind O'Banion MS. I thought he was such a hottie! I suppose I left an impression on him as well; he can still tell you what I was wearing that day. I went to Brandenburg and Heath went to Lyles so our paths didn't cross again until our freshman year at South Garland High School. Heath played football, I was in Dixies and we had all the same friends. We "went out" for about 2 months our freshman year but decided to be just friends, and that's what we were, BEST friends. We were there for each other through all the boyfriends and girlfriends and all the drama that came with that. We also knew how to have a damn good time! We were always getting into something! Most of my favorite high school memories are filled with things we used to do together. We just "got" each other and would do anything for each other and that was that... or so I thought. Sometime during the summer of 2002 Heath came over to talk. Nothing out of the norm, right? Not so much. I still remember his excitement when he started telling me he was joining the Navy. I was shocked! I was so happy for him and the opportunities this would provide him. But, at the same time, the selfishness in me wanted to say "No! Don't gooooo!" So I think I said something along the lines of "I'll believe it when I see it." The next thing I know Heath is working out, running and getting ready to head off to boot camp. I knew life as I knew it was really going to change. I mean, my BEST guy friend was going off to boot camp and would be living on a ship for the next 4 years. Even so, I put all my personal feelings aside and supported and encouraged him like no other. I wanted him to succeed. I wanted him to see places he had never seen and most of all I wanted him to gain the discipline and responsibility that goes with that. So, before I knew it, it was October 3, 2002 and we were off to witness Heath being sworn in, and then... leave. :( So after many hugs and tears he was gone... and things just weren't the same. After a few weeks of moping around my mom asked me what was wrong and I told he I missed Heath. She knew, as mothers always know, that I obviously had feelings for him, more than just friends. So I finally quit denying how I felt and had to make a deision. I could never say anything, and live with always wondering what could've been. And then there's the whole ruining our friendship thing. I treasured what we had so much and did not want to lose it. I was torn, but one day it was like that scene in Clueless when Cher realizes she loves Josh. It hit me... "I love Heath!!" I quickly found a pen and some paper and started pouring my heart out in a letter to him. I think the first 3 pages said "don't freak out but..." and "if you don't feel the same way I totally understand" so then I read over it probably a million times and then sealed it up and sent it off to Illinios. The next several weeks were torture!! I don't know how Rachel & my mom put up with me. I was a mess! I didn't know how long it would take for him to get my letter, how he would react, if he would feel the same way or not and how long until I heard something from him?? So then, I got "the letter" I was shaking and overwhelmed with so many different emotions. At first it was filled with a million questions like "Why did it take me leaving to know you were in love with me?" Towards the end of the letter he told me he did have feelings for me too and we should see where this could go. We both knew it was going to be a long distance relationship for the next 4 years but we were willing to give it a shot. Thanksgiving of 2002 Heath called me in the middle of my family's dinner and we had the shortest but THE BEST conversation we had ever had. That's the first time he told me he loved me and the first time I got to tell him I loved him too. All of a sudden it was so so real, and so so awesome!! Heath got out of boot camp and was assigned to the USS Harry S. Truman. December of 2002 Heath got to come home on leave sometime between Christmas and New Years. It was so amazing, & almost unreal to finally be able to see each other and hold each other and actually tell each other face to face how much we loved one another. We were on cloud 9! Before he left he got me a beautiful promise ring and we both knew it wouldn't be long until that was replaced with an engagement ring. So, fast forward about 2 years to October 3, 2004 (exactly 2 years to the day he left for boot camp) it was the BEST day of my life... we tied the knot and I was Mrs. Heath Allen Dunn!! Nothing was better than that! We went to Vegas for 4 days for our honeymoon and 3 days after we got back to Dallas he had to leave for a 6 month deployment! We were newlyweds and we wouldn't be able to see each other for 6 months! We just had email & occasionally a phone call. We were heartbroken but knew when he got back we would never have to be apart again. I was going to pack up and leave Texas and live with him in Virginia Beach. May of 2005 we were off on a brand new journey as husband and wife in a state I had never even visited! HA! We were finally getting to start our lives together!! In November of 2005 we found out we were pregnant!! And that's when life started being about more than the 2 of us!
